Torba
Torba
This little village is hiding in a charming little bay, a modern village in the administrative area of the Bodrum Municipality, small but a notable tourist resort. Heading North of Bodrum, Torba is the nearest village. It is only active during the summer months, but due to the generally high quality of the holiday home developments is a pleasant and relaxed place to visit.
In addition a ferryboat makes daily runs across the Gulf of Güllük to Didim, a wonderful opportunity to view the magnificent Temple of Apollo.

where is Torba?

It has several modern hotels, pebbly and sandy beaches and hillsides richly scented with herbs growing in the wild. There are reminders of the past well worth seeing. A superbly preserved round stucture built by the Lelegians more than 2500 years ago, probably a tomb, crowns a hig hill overlooking the village while the ruins of a byzantine monastery standing on the east side of the bay.
